Pertamina pilots palm oil-based ‘green diesel’ production
State-owned oil giant Pertamina has produced its first-ever batch of palm oil-based “green diesel” in its refinery in Dumai, Riau. Trial production hit 1,000 barrels per day (bpd) from July 2 to 9, said Pertamina in a statement on July 15. The test proves the Dumai oil refinery is technically capable of producing such a biodiesel.

Gasohol E20 will become the primary petrol for the country early this month, requiring all petrol stations nationwide to carry the ethanol-blended fuel, says the Energy Business Department. Vietnam adjusts biomass power prices
Hanoi (VNA) – Adjustments have been made to biomass power prices under the Prime Minister’s Decision No.08/2020/QD-TTg on amendments and supplements to several articles of the Decision No.24/2014/QD-TTg dated March 24, 2014. Accordingly, the prices will range from 1,634 – 1,968 VND (0.07 – 0.08 USD) per kWh, exclusive of added value tax.
