Vietnam adjusts biomass power prices

Hanoi (VNA) – Adjustments have been made to biomass power prices under the Prime Minister’s Decision No.08/2020/QD-TTg on amendments and supplements to several articles of the Decision No.24/2014/QD-TTg dated March 24, 2014. Accordingly, the prices will range from 1,634 – 1,968 VND (0.07 – 0.08 USD) per kWh, exclusive of added value tax.

Vietnam cuts ethanol import tariffs from 10 July

Vietnam will lower tariffs on ethanol imports to 15pc for all grades from 10 July, though fuel ethanol trade seems unlikely to increase. The change cuts tariffs from 17pc for 100pc pure ethanol and 20pc for 99pc or below for any country that does not have a free trade agreement with Vietnam.
