Indonesia Allows Private Sector to Develop Electric Vehicle Infrastructures
The supporting infrastructures are classified into recharging stations (SPKLU) and the electric vehicle battery exchange (SPBKLU). According to the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry Regulation No.13 of 2020, enterprises that are permitted to build such infrastructures must hold a special electric supplier business license (IUPTL), which exempts the need to obtain permits from the state-electricity provider PLN.
