Vietnam needs to issue policies to encourage and manage Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for renewable projects to ensure a stable power supply, a foreign expert has advised.

Rondo Energy, developer of the Rondo Heat Battery, announced it has partnered with Siam Cement Group to expand its factory to a 90 GWh capacity. The Thailand facility currently produces 2.4 GWh of industrial heat batteries and is planned to be expanded to the largest battery factory in the world.

The pilot project took place in Bali, with Hyundai Kefico providing 50 motorcycles for PLN’s operation during the G20 Summit. This collaboration also includes the installation of SPBKLU in accordance with the agreement.
